News for the Current season

2/26/2012 12:33:13 PM Zach and Muyenda both dove great at the State Championship down in Indy Saturday.

Zach only missed one dive in the first 8 rounds but unfortunately it prevented him from advancing to the finals by 4 points. It was a solid performance that in many previous State Championships would have been more than enough to move him into the finals. Zach finished the meet in 18th place(280.9) and picked up some valuable experience for next season.

Muyenda went nuts and had the best meet of his life. He started off ripping his reverse dive and continued to nail every one of his dives, he couldn't miss. Muyenda finished up in 2nd place(500.6) with another lifetime best performance.

Our regional placed 5 qualifiers in the the top 8 including first and second. Our sectional placed all 4 qualifiers in the top 20. It was a great meet for our divers and a blast for the parents and coaches to watch. I'm already looking forward to next season.

11/13/2011 9:26:07 AM Our 2011-2012 high school season is underway and in addition to three returning upperclassmen we have a number of new additions. The girls team will be led by returning DAC and IHSAA sectional champion junior Khalela El-naggar. Khalela was a regional finalist and state qualifier last season and will be looking to advance to the finals at the state meet this year. Joining the girls squad this season will be junior Dakota Pitts and freshman Taylor McBride.

The boys team returns two strong juniors in Muyenda Burnett and Zach Schwartz. Schwartz was an IHSAA sectional finalist last season and both boys are looking to advance to the regional meet and beyond this season. The boys team adds junior Taylor Bisacchi and freshmen Will Allen and Camden Davison.

Our intrasquad competition yesterday was the first opportunity for the coaches to see how well the new kids would hold up under the pressure of performing in a meet which they all did well. It was also a chance to see where the experienced kids are in their training progression and while there are still many things to work on the results look good at this early stage in the season.
